The Canadian Forces Newspapers Youth Reporter Competition

We have just been informed of a great opportunity for cadets who are 13 – 18 years old to contribute to and enter The Canadian Forces Newspapers Youth Reporter Competition for young writers, journalists and public affairs officers in the Cadet programs.

The Canadian Forces Newspapers Youth Reporter Competition is sponsored by the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services to give young people a unique chance to tell their story in print, online or on social media with the help of Canadian Forces Newspapers journalists, editors and photographers. The winner of each category will receive a scholarship proudly presented by Adobe valued at 500$ as well as a one year subscription to Creative Cloud.

Last year the winner was from the 687 Richelieu Laval Squadron Air Cadets. This year there will be 5 winners featured, based on 5 themes of reporting. Youth will also have the opportunity to choose their reporting medium, written, photography, video or podcast.
